Pre-Algebra is normally taught in both 7th and 8th grades. My class will provide the students with a very thorough and complete background of the fundamentals needed to be successful in eighth grade mathematics or Algebra I. The five major strands of mathematics will be covered, using the South Carolina state standards. The students will be engaged in problem-solving strategies in all strands. Students will have opportunities to improve problem solving skills and develop their ability to successfully use math in the real world.
